SUMMER UPDATE
We are providing swamp coolers for the summer months! This means that no matter when you come, we will have a cool breeze to help you and your clients have a comfortable and fun outdoor session :) We want you to have the ability to continue shooting through the hot season. So just come have fun, cool off and create some gorgeous pics!!
Directions:
The Meadow is located in Downtown Mesa, in the historic Evergreen neighborhood. Detailed directions are provided when booked.
Parking:
Currently, there is only neighborhood street parking, however that is ample and can easily accommodate ten or more vehicles. It is a quiet, safe, established old neighborhood.
Security:
The gate is locked with a code. Prior to your time, we will provide you with the gate code, which is regularly changed, or we will (most likely) meet you there. Props and animals are locked away and will require our assistance.
Pricing and Scheduling:
Currently, scheduling is on an hour-by-hour booking schedule at $75 per hour all day and $50 at 5:00am and 8:00pm. One hour is the minimum time slot available. On the scheduling form, you will find just a few add-ons. We are working on adding more sets and options, and will update the booking schedule to reflect those when they are live (for example: we have an atrium greenhouse coming!).
If you would like to book a pre-dawn or late night shoot we are absolutely open to that, however we handle those events directly, so please reach out to us if you’d like to book a nighttime or early morning shoot!
The Meadow is available for small events and other uses. Please contact us directly to inquire.
The Scenery:
The views you see in the gallery and instagram are almost entirely of the North and West sides of the meadow. The southern border and the eastern border are currently under development and are not as picture-ready as the North and West, however they are still available and we’ve seen beautiful work at those angles. This means that morning shoots do not necessarily have the same green background options as the afternoon. Please keep that in mind if you are considering morning bookings (for now - we’re working on it!). However, the North and West sides give you 160 linear feet of green background! When placing someone in the Northwest corner (pictured here), you have over 180º of green background in your field of view.
Irrigation:
The Meadow is flood irrigated every other Thursday, which is what gives it it’s unique, lush and whimsical beauty. SRP does not run neighborhood irrigation on an exact schedule, but changes the irrigation hourly route schedules every time. This means we cannot know which hours, exactly, the field will be flooded (yes, it’s a headache). The expected flood days are already blocked off on our schedule, and we un-block times when we know it will be available. We do our utmost best to block out those days and times on the schedule, but in the unlikely event that your time is scheduled during an irrigation run, we will reschedule with you at the best possible time for you.
Props:
We are constantly working to add options to our “prop closet”. This is next to the field and is locked, we will come open it up for you if you select it as an add-on. The green couch is also available as a separate add-on and we will wrangle it out for you.
Animals:
Some animals are available as an add-on and require wrangling by us to ensure safety both for you, your clients and the animals themselves. We are also working to bring animal shoot events to the Meadow soon!
Rules:
Usage is limited to the field only, bordered on the east, west and north by greenery and the south by a low, white divider wall and gate. Do not enter and use other areas of the property.
Be prompt with your time slot. This means you cannot show up earlier than your scheduled time and you cannot leave later than your scheduled time. If you need to clean up after yourself, you need to do it within your time slot, so make sure you plan for that.
Clean up after yourself and your clients. If you rearranged any furniture or props, please put them back how you originally found them. Throw away any trash away in the bin when you leave. If you need help moving props or furniture let us know, we’re happy to help.
If you walk in and find things out of place, damaged, dirty, etc. please notify us ASAP so we can charge the renter ahead of you.
Let us know immediately if there are any repairs to be made or maintenance to be done when you first arrive. You are responsible for any damage occurring in the space or any of the items in The Meadow during your time slot and may be subject to a repair fee. Please treat our space with care and ensure your clients are respectful as well.
We are not liable for any personal injuries or illnesses during your time at The Meadow and recommend you carry business liability insurance to protect yourself and your clients.
No pets allowed without permission. Service animals must be approved a minimum of 24 hours before your rental. If unapproved animals are brought into the Meadow, you will be charged a $250 minimum pet fee.
Confetti, glitter, smoke bombs, food, or any other outside prop that may leave a mess or cause damage to The Meadow MUST be approved by us prior and MUST be cleaned up prior to leaving or you will be charged a $50 minimum cleaning fee.
Workshops or large styled shoots must be approved beforehand and are subject to a different price. Please email us with the details before booking.
Only one contracted photographer permitted at the studio during a time slot unless special permission was given beforehand.
We are currently working to provide temporary bathrooms but at the moment there are no bathrooms available on site.
Cancellation Policy:
All bookings are non-refundable. No exceptions, this includes any circumstances - weather changes, miscommunications between you and your clients, or any other factors. We cannot be held responsible if your clients or other circumstances prevent you from meeting your appointment time. Remember, this is an outdoor space, so the weather is of course unpredictable. Please double check your date, time, and chosen rental are all correct before submitting. We do not allow reschedules.
No refunds on unused time.
The Meadow reserves the right to cancel any bookings at their discretion. In the rare case that this happens, a full refund will be given.
